Is the Interac sign-in service for My CRA Account (individual and/or business) available with Caisse Alliance?

Yes. Caisse Alliance is a Sign-In Partners for the Interac® sign-in service.

What is the Interac® sign-in service?

The Interac® sign-in service is a credential broker service that acts as a bridge between the Government of Canada and participating credential service providers (Sign-In Partners). It allows you to sign in using your online banking information if you have an account with one of the participating Sign-In Partners. Please note that this service operates independently of the financial institutions and the Government of Canada services.

The Interac® sign-in service is a convenient way to access online government services, e.g.: Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Rather than creating and managing various usernames and passwords to access online government services, it is now possible to have access simply by signing in using Caisse Alliance’s online banking platform (Allia).

Note: Business members must login using their personal credentials.

 

SIGNING INTO MY CANADA REVENUE AGENCY (CRA) ACCOUNT

You are able to access your CRA account through this service by selecting Caisse Alliance as a Sign-In Partner and using your personal Allia login credentials.

Please note that for security purposes, CRA requires that different procedures be followed depending on the case. It is important to understand that the role of the Caisse is to provide login access to our online banking platform (Allia), and that it is the responsibility of the government service to authenticate the person and grant them access to their government services.

  1. If you do not yet have access to our online banking platform (Allia), please contact one of our branches.
  2. If you have used Access-D in the past (our previous online banking system) as a Sign-In Partner to connect to the CRA, and you are not registered on the CRA site using a user name and a password to directly access your CRA account, you will need to call the CRA at 1-800-959-8281 to notify them that you no longer have access to your old AccèsD account and that you would now like use Caisse Alliance’s new banking system as a Sign-In Partner. You will need to wait to receive a code by mail before being able to login. Allow 5 to 10 business days.
  3. If you are registered with CRA using another financial institution as a Sign-In Partner, but you now wish to login through Caisse Alliance, it is possible to “Switch your Sign-In Partner” directly from the Interac® sign-in service website.
  4. Following the Caisse’s computer system conversion (October 23, 2024), if you registered on the CRA website, you now have a username and password to access your CRA account. If you now wish to use Caisse Alliance as a Sign-In Partner, you will need to call CRA at 1-800-959-8281 to notify them that you would like to use Caisse Alliance as a Sign-In Partner. You will need to wait to receive a code by mail before being able to login. Allow 5 to 10 business days.
  5. If you have never used a Sign-In Partner to access your CRA account, you can proceed as a new Caisse Alliance Sign-In Partner user.
  6. If you are asked to call the CRA (1-800-959-8281) during the process, you will need to do so. This is a security procedure so that the CRA can authenticate you before giving you access.
