The Caisse Alliance to introduce new community initiative: the « Truth and Reconciliation Fund »
Thursday, September 1st, 2022 – To be implemented in September 2022, the Caisse Alliance wishes to introduce the « Truth and Reconciliation Fund ». This initiative calls upon local visionaries to submit a community project that honours missing Indigenous children and residential school survivors, their families and their communities.
Each year, $6,000 will be allocated throughout the Caisse Alliance network, $1,000 per region, to individuals and groups who wish to obtain financial support on their projects.
The Regional Cooperative Councils are the representatives in charge for the disbursement of the fund. Once applications are submitted and reviewed, the council will choose which projects represents best the mission and purpose of the fund, and of the Caisse Alliance.
Each application must be submitted to the Regional Managers prior to being reviewed by the Regional Cooperative Councils. Anyone can apply at any time during the year, until the allocated funds per region have been disbursed. To apply, innovators can visit our website at the link below or drop by your local branch for an application.
