CAISSE ALLIANCE RECOGNIZED FOR PROJECT TO STRENGTHEN ITS COMMUNITIES

North Bay, ON September 19, 2024: Caisse Alliance is proud to have been recognized for its new cooperative project, which aims to strengthen its communities.

Today, Equitable Bank and Concentra unveiled their choice projects of the year. One of them is Caisse Alliance’s new Leap Into Financial Empowerment (LIFE) program. As an expression of support and recognition, a grant of $50,000 has been awarded to Caisse Alliance.

“We are honoured by this recognition and sincerely thank Equitable Bank and Concentra for their support, recognizing the value of this initiative and believing in its potential. This cooperative gesture will support our efforts to grow this new program and increase its opportunities,” says Pierre Dorval, President and CEO of Caisse Alliance. “LIFE is a cooperative program that supports mental health. We’re investing here and making a difference with our community partners.”

Keenly aware of the current mental health issues that have increased since the pandemic, Caisse Alliance has decided to take a human approach to changing lives.

“We have developed a referral system that offers concrete solutions to support people facing difficulties, including victims of domestic violence,” says Joanne Ferland, the Personal Finance and Wealth Management Advisor who initiated the program in North Bay. “True to our values, we help these individuals regain control of their finances and lives in a safe and secure environment.”

The LIFE program began in North Bay and quickly spread to Mattawa, Bonfield, Sturgeon Falls, and Verner. Offered in collaboration with multi-sector community organizations, the program’s mission is to help people in need regain balance, autonomy, control, peace of mind, well-being, and quality of life.

“Given its positive impact, we’re working to develop this invaluable program further,” notes Mathieu Shank, Caisse Alliance Regional Manager, Nipissing-East region. “We’re always open to new partnerships that expand our referral network and ensure the growth and diversification of our services. The grant announced today will strongly support our services, including personalized appointments, guidance, individual and private support, financial literacy, financial products, and services tailored to their needs.”

Caisse Alliance would like to thank Equitable Bank and Concentra for their generous recognition and support. By joining forces, we build strong and healthy communities.
