CAISSE ALLIANCE BECOMES THE OWNER OF ITS OWN COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND TOOLS
“Caisse Alliance is a Northern Ontario financial cooperative that strives to build a strong and healthy future for its communities.” – Pierre Dorval, CEO
North Bay – August 15, 2023: We are pleased to announce that this fall, Caisse Alliance will become the owner of its own IT systems and tools. Management is proud to inform its members of the arrival of a brandnew online banking platform that will meet their current and future needs.
“Caisse Alliance has always been independent, with its own governance, its own Board of Directors and its own regulations,” says Pierre Dorval, President & Chief Executive Officer of Caisse Alliance. Desjardins was our IT service provider and they have ensured timely service and ongoing support. Given the rapid technological evolution, the customization of our systems is fundamental for ensuring innovation and remaining competitive
in the industry. Solid, strong, and constantly evolving, Caisse Alliance is now moving from the passenger’s seat to the driver’s seat. We will be more independent and freer to adapt our services to better respond to our members’ needs, our
orientations, and our operational environment. Caisse Alliance and Desjardins are collaborating in order to ensure an optimal transition.”
As a forward-looking financial institution that listens to its members, we are conscious of trends and new developments. We initiate our selection of products and offer services at the cutting edge of technology as an effective way of dealing with today’s and tomorrow’s realities. This step forward is based on our commitment to meet the needs and expectations of current members, the new generation and those to come. This is not only a must, but a prerequisite for long-term success.
A specialized team and strong partnerships
Caisse Alliance has been working closely for more than two years with experts, trainers, and key partners to bring this project to fruition. “In order to be well prepared, we have diversified our business relationships, created several new positions, and developed new partnerships from coast to coast,” says Mr. Dorval.
A project for members and communities
“Always with our member’s benefits top of mind, we remain at the forefront and explore new opportunities. Our Caisse is rooted in our towns and villages in Northern Ontario, and we will continue to help build a strong and healthy future for our communities, adds Mr. Dorval. Over the past five years, Caisse Alliance has distributed $23 million in dividends to its members and communities. Many community projects have been completed thanks to our cooperative. This next step, that we are about to take, will allow us to continue to invest in the development and vitality of our communities.”
Since its merger five years ago, Caisse Alliance has seen important changes at several levels, including members’ interest in getting involved in decision-making and governance.
“We are acquiring our own technology, because we are a people-based community who wants to make sense of money at a local level”, states Grégoire Lefebvre, Chair of the Board of Directors of Caisse Alliance. This means not only ensuring the best use of our assets, but also controlling our data and protecting our members’ information. The Caisse belongs to its members and whether it be at the Board of Directors’ level, Regional Cooperative Committees, management, or staff, we are all members who seek to provide solutions that promote everyone’s financial happiness, and more.”
A new online banking platform
This IT transition means that members will soon make the transition to our brand-new online banking platform, Allia. Branded with Caisse Alliance’s colours, Allia will be our member’s new ally, available at their fingertips to process daily operations as well as manage their finances. Easy to use, fast, and secure, Allia will be accessible from the Caisse’s website (www.caissealliance.com) or by downloading the new mobile application.
For many, an independent transition from the comfort of their home will occur thanks to the tools that the Caisse has made available to its members. In addition, a number of support services will be offered to members, including workshops and support stations in branch locations, a telephone support line for assistance with registration and navigation with Allia, and much more. All details related to this project are available in a designated section of our website as it progresses.
We’re here to accompany you
From September 5 to 14, members will have the opportunity to attend one of the six Members Group Meetings (MGM) that will take place in person across our regions. Members of the management team will be on hand to answer members’ questions.
“We have developed strategies to ensure a smooth transition, and our usual member-centered approach will be implemented, states Mr. Dorval. We thank our members for their invaluable collaboration at this important stage in the history of our financial cooperative.”
At Caisse Alliance, we are a dynamic and committed team that builds on strong human values. A full range of digital services will be offered to those who wish to use our online services, and we will continue to serve our members in person and staff members will continue to answer the phones, because it is part of our DNA and our values. We are Human, Available and Connected.
