CAISSE ALLIANCE PROVIDES A $50,000 DONATION TO THE LOCAL FOOD BANKS
North Bay, April 2, 2020 â During this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, Caisse Alliance is announcing a $50,000 donation to local food banks.
Despite the collective efforts to stop the spread of the virus, the pandemic is evolving and a portion of the Northern Ontario population needs support, now more than ever.
Caisse Alliance has nearly 300 employees in 30 branches across 24 Northern Ontario communities. With the goal of supporting regional economic development and remaining a solid example of cooperation, Caisse Alliance has six regional cooperative committees (RCC) consisting of members from each of our regions. These members are the voice of our 50,000 members.
“We have consulted our six RCCs, who have shared with us, one of todayâs greatest needs. Their unanimous response was: food banks, said Pierre Dorval, President and CEO of Caisse Alliance. We are sensitive to the fact that our communities are currently facing financial difficulties and we are here to help.”
In this difficult time when many are experiencing a loss of income, Caisse Alliance wishes to extend a helping hand to individuals and families awaiting financial support and for whom putting bread on the table presents a challenge.
“With the progression of this pandemic, it is important for us as a financial cooperative, to support those human beings who are affected by the crisis and struggling to meet certain basic needs”, mentioned Philippe Boissonneault, Chair of the Board of Directors of Caisse Alliance. The $50,000 that our RCCs have provided to the food banks to assist citizens in need, comes from our community fund. The Board of Directors has the well-being of its communities at heart and supports the RRCsâ decision.”
Always attentive to our membersâ needs, we are human, available and connected.
