$26 MILLION IN DIVIDENDS IN 6 YEARS

Investing here is making a difference in Northern Ontario

NORTH BAY, April 17, 2024 – After its sixth year of operation, Caisse Alliance is proud to announce that it continues to post excellent results and is distributing a portion of its surpluses again this year. In 6 years, $26 million has been redistributed to its members and communities.

As a result of its 2023 surpluses, dividends in the amount of $3,515,000 were distributed as follows: $2.3 million to members, $600,000 to special community projects, and $615,000 to preferred shareholders.

“The strength of our capital has allowed the Board of Directors to once again distribute generous dividends. That’s great news!”, states Grégoire Lefebvre, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Caisse Alliance. “Our financial cooperative recognizes its member’s loyalty and enables them to participate in decision-making. Distribution was achieved equitably, from one branch to another, in both the Nipissing and Northern regions as requested by the members.”

The amount of the dividend paid to members depends on their use of Caisse’s financial services during the year. The calculation is made by allocating a percentage, i.e., 4% of the interest paid on personal residential mortgages and personal mortgage-secured lines of credit, up to a maximum of $375, and 0.075% on term deposits. This is one of the cooperative benefits.

“With their member dividend, we invite members to encourage the local economy by supporting local businesses, because investing here matters”, said Pierre Dorval, President and Chief Executive Officer of Caisse Alliance. “In six years, Caisse Alliance has made a significant difference by supporting thousands of projects that have a long-term, positive community impact. Together, let’s continue to contribute to the prosperity and growth of our regions!“
