Caisse Alliance unveils its shopping local campaign

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NORTH BAY, September 9, 2020 – During this period of economic relaunch, Caisse Alliance is proud to unveil its new shopping local campaign, “Choosing local is capital!”.

Over the past 2 months, the seven project leaders, hired at the beginning of July, have been assisting many Northern Ontario businesses located throughout the 6 regions served by Caisse Alliance, with their business economic relaunch. In combination with the three main orientations set out at the beginning of the project, they were able to present different technological options, enable businesses to go digital, while updating them on available government programs.

In order to stimulate the local economy during this period of economic relaunch along with recognizing  the important contribution of our employees during this period of confinement, Caisse Alliance will provide its employees, members of the board of directors and members of the Regional Cooperative Committees with a $25 gift card to be used for a local purchase. In return, they will promote their purchase by posting photos on social networks. Throughout this initiative, the Caisse aims to promote local businesses in each region by inviting partners and community members to take part in this challenge.

Caisse Alliance is proud to officially launch its new shopping local campaign, “Choosing local is capital!”. Based on the concept that “shop local” refers to products as well as their origins, this campaign will help communities integrate the concept of local choices into their lifestyles. In fact, the principle of shopping and buying local goes much further than the dollars spent in a store. “A local choice always strengthens our communities; it makes us collectively prouder, stronger and richer. That is why it is so important to launch such a campaign during this period of economic relaunch,” said Pierre Dorval, President and Chief Executive Officer of Caisse Alliance.

In conjunction with the shop local theme, 192 Caisse Alliance gift cards, valid at local merchants, will be randomly distributed in each of the communities served by the Caisse. These $25 cards will raise awareness and encourage community members to make local choices, which will further contribute to the shopping local movement. Close to $15,000 will be injected directly into the economies of our regions. In addition, free promotional items will be distributed to our merchants to promote this campaign.

Finally, a shopping local campaign would not be complete without a contest. Starting today, all Ontario residents are eligible to take part in a contest offered by Caisse Alliance. To participate, simply visit our website and answer 3 multiple-choice questions and tell us about the local choices you make in order to be a community ally. A total of $5,000 in Caisse Alliance gift cards will be randomly drawn between September 18 and October 30, 2020. $500 gift cards for local merchants will be drawn every Friday and 2 grand prizes of $1,000 will be drawn on October 30th. To find out how you can make local choices and  to participate in the contest, visit localiscapital.ca.

At Caisse Alliance, your happiness is capital!
