Sturgeon Falls, ON – April 16, 2025: West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation has recently launched a fundraising campaign: “Our Community, Our Health, Our Future — Double Your Impact with Caisse Alliance”, to replace its aging mammography unit, which has reached the end of its useful life. Replacement of this essential piece of equipment has become an urgent priority.
Having its community’s wellbeing at heart, Caisse Alliance is pleased to announce its support to the campaign with a $75,000 donation from its Caisse Alliance Fund. In addition to this donation, every dollar donated to the West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation’s Mammogram Campaign will become two by being matched up to a maximum of $25,000, bringing Caisse Alliance’s total contribution toward the initiative to $100,000.
“Replacing our mammography machine is essential to ensuring continued access to high-quality breast cancer screening in our community. With increasing demand and expanded screening eligibility, this investment will have a direct impact on patient care,” says Dawn Morissette, President and CEO of West Nipissing General Hospital. “We are sincerely grateful to Caisse Alliance for their generosity and commitment to this important initiative. Their support will help bring advanced imaging technology to West Nipissing, ensuring residents have access to quality care close to home.”
Marcy Lemieux, Regional Director at Caisse Alliance, urges the community to donate to the campaign. “We care about the health of our communities and truly value supporting community organizations and participating in important efforts such as this. Every donation made to West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation’s Mammogram Campaign is doubled by us, therefore doubling the community’s impact! Our team is also organizing bake sales, dress-down days and fitness challenges to raise some funds and we challenge other workplaces in West Nipissing and surrounding areas to do the same!”
