Shareholders can thus transfer their shares to the next generation while maintaining control over the company, and, if appropriate, continue earning dividend income on the frozen shares.<\/p>\n<h2>The shareholders agreement<\/h2>\n<div id=\"content\" class=\"content_sidebar content_right_sidebar\" role=\"main\">\n<div id=\"bodyinfo\">\n<p>An estate freeze requires a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.caissealliance.com\/en\/business\/management\/shareholder-agreements-a-wise-choice\/\">shareholder agreement<\/a>\u00a0be drawn up.
