Be sure to set up powers of attorney: one for property and one for personal care. You choose the person or people who will act on your behalf if you become incapable.<\/p>\n<p>Like wills, powers of attorney have to be made with care so the powers given to your representatives correspond with your wishes and they are able to act in your place if the need arises.<\/p>\n<p>Also,\u00a0<strong>business owners<\/strong>\u00a0can make a continuing power of attorney, separate from their power of attorney for property.<\/p>\n<p>You may be able to save money by making both powers of attorney at the same time.
