The board of directors of the Caisse accepted the recommendation to recognize this day and all employees will observe this annual holiday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAlthough this new legislation only affects employees of institutions under federal jurisdiction, the members of the board of directors and the management team all agree that this cause and the motivation to create this day of recognition and commemoration are very important. The mission and values \u200b\u200bof our organization do not accept any form of discrimination or racism,\u201d explains Pierre Dorval, President and Chief Executive Office of Caisse Alliance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Caisse Alliance is committed to reconciliation and ensuring that the tragic history and ongoing legacy of residential schools are never forgotten. From June 15 to July 15 of this year, the Caisse organized an awareness campaign to commemorate the aftermath of the residential schools. As part of this campaign, donations totalling $ 6,000 were given to organizations associated with this cause ($ 1,000 per region) and employees were invited to share a message or a thought on the image of an orange shoe.
