Seven project leaders are ready to assist businesses in the six regions<\/em><\/p>\n

NORTH BAY, July 8, 2020 –<\/strong> Caisse Alliance is rolling out its economic relaunch plan by announcing an investment of more than $150,000 to help local businesses and hiring seven local students as project representatives, thus reaffirming its support to encourage local purchasing as well as entrepreneurial innovation.<\/p>\n

These students have been hired and will be happy to assist you, no matter what help you need.<\/p>\n

Three main guidelines will lead these seven representatives:<\/p>\n

The first is to promote the importance of being online; students will be able to present different options for businesses on going digital. The second is to publicize the various programs offered by the government that can help businesses in relation to the pandemic; their mission is to help businesses take full advantage of these programs. The last guideline consists of the collaboration in developing initiatives to promote the importance of local purchasing.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the months of July and August, the students will act as a stepping stone for many small businesses to relaunch their commercial activities, better prepare for a potential second wave, or simply open up to new horizons,” said Pierre Dorval, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Caisse Alliance. \u201cWe wanted a concrete plan that would yield immediate results.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Caisse is also an official partner in a project that will help local businesses obtain or increase their online visibility and thus reviving their activities in Northern Ontario, which has taken a radical turn towards the Web. This brand new e-commerce platform, shoplocalnorth.com, officially launched on June 24, 2020, is bringing together Northern businesses from different sectors.<\/p>\n

“Also, to encourage local purchasing, Caisse Alliance has decided to lead the way,” explains Julie St-Jacques, Vice-President Member Experience. In order to stimulate the local economy, Caisse Alliance will offer its staff members, board of directors and members of the Regional Cooperative Committees a $25 gift card to use towards a local purchase. In exchange, they will have to promote the purchase with the help of photos on their social networks, therefore making our businesses known and by launching the same challenge to the rest of the community. The Caisse hopes to create an unprecedented solidarity movement, in which other partners can also participate.<\/p>\n

Finally, the Caisse Alliance\u2019s Community Assistance Fund may also be used, following submitted requests for local initiatives to the Regional Cooperative Committees in the six regions of the Caisse’s large territory.<\/p>\n
