Fraud

What is Fraud?

Fraud is an intentional deception to disadvantage another person. Unfortunately, it involves the illegal seizure of money or personal property. There are many types of fraud.

Many scams are committed through e-mails and phone calls. You are asked for personal information or money in one way or another. No matter the type of fraud or the scenario, it sounds too good to be true. Fraudsters target everyone, regardless of age, education, or income. They are excellent at manipulating you into revealing personal information or convincing you to give them money or personal property.

IMPORTANT: If you doubt the authenticity of a call or an email from our financial institution or one of our partners, hang up immediately and call back your branch.
