Protecting your privacy

At the Caisse Alliance, we take several measures to protect your personal information:

  1. We do not divulge any information about our members without their consent.
  2. The Caisse Alliance employees are not authorized to ask for your password or PIN.
  3. Never disclose any personal information over the phone, including debit card numbers, birth dates and social insurance numbers, except during the usual authentication procedure when you contact us.
  4. The Caisse Alliance does not solicit members for personal and confidential information by e-mail or otherwise.

The Caisse Alliance takes action against fraud

At the Caisse Alliance, protecting members against fraud is a priority and we are doing all we can to ensure your peace of mind.

Phishing fraud

Our systems enables us to act quickly if we detect fraudulent e-mail.

Furthermore, we follow-up on each seemingly fraudulent e-mail that you send us.

Debit card fraud (skimming)

If your debit card is lost or stolen, we deactivate it as soon as you call us. Your Caisse Alliance will issue you a new debit Card.

We are also equipped with additional security systems that check your identity when you use your  Debit Card at an ATM. In addition to your PIN, you may be asked to enter your birth date when you make some transactions.

Computer virus fraud

We do everything we can to maintain the optimal security of our systems. However, nothing can replace your own vigilance when it comes to making transactions online.

Here are some suggestions to help you test both your knowledge, and the security of your computer.

Identity theft

At the Caisse Alliance, we take several measures to protect your personal information and your transactions:

  1. We do not divulge any information about our members without their consent.
  2. The caisses Alliance employees are not authorized to ask for your password or PIN.
  3. The caisses Alliance employees cannot ask for personal information over the phone, including debit card numbers, birth dates and social insurance numbers, except during the usual authentication procedure when members contact us.
  4. Most personal cheques available from your Caisse Alliance include the IDefence® service from Davis+Henderson, which ensures that you get the assistance you need in the event of identity theft.

The caisses Alliance do not solicit members for personal and confidential information by e-mail or otherwise.
