Dear business members,
As of October 26, 2020, eligible Canadian businesses that are currently operating through a personal bank account can now apply for CEBA. All applicants now have until December 31, 2020, to apply for CEBA. You can submit a request by following the steps indicated below. The government has also made available a pre-qualification site that will allow you to verify your eligibility for the program. To access it, please click here. Please note that this questionnaire is only an assessment and does not constitute an acceptance of the loan.
The criteria for opening a commercial account on or before March 1, 2020, has been removed by the government. Therefore, a company whose commercial account was opened after March 1 can now apply. The criteria for payroll (between $20,000 and $1.5 million) and non-deferrable expenses (between $40,000 and $1.5 million) remain unchanged.
A reminder that eligible business members can complete the online application. After completing the application, they must upload the supporting documents to the government website at application-demande.ceba-cuec.ca. All applicants now have until December 31, 2020, to apply for CEBA.
The application process for the expanded CEBA is simple, electronic and consists of two easy steps:

Step 2: Proceed to opening a business account by contacting your Caisse Alliance Branch.
Step 3: Submit your CEBA request through your AccèsD business account by clicking here.
If you qualify under the Payroll Stream, your application is complete!
If you qualify under the Non-Deferrable Expenses Stream, proceed to the next step.
Step 4: You must submit electronic copies of your receipts, invoices and agreements to support your 2020 Eligible Non-Deferrable Expenses. To submit these documents, please click here.
Once your application and supporting documents are received, the Government of Canada validates funding eligibility for the program. You should expect to receive the funds deposited in your business operating account within 10 to 15 business days following the submission of your application.
